Good tyres, fitted properly, with honest advice on when you actually need them.
Whether it is one tyre or a full set, we supply and fit quality tyres for cars, hybrids, utes and vans, balance them, and get you back on the road without the runaround.

Tyres without the hassle
A tyre shop should be simple: the right tyre, fitted and balanced properly, at a fair price, without being talked into four when you needed one. That is how we run it. We supply quality tyres for hybrids, European and Japanese cars, utes, 4x4s and vans, fit them in the same workshop that services the rest of the car, and road test before handing back the keys.
Because we also do alignments, suspension and brakes, we can tell you why a tyre wore the way it did and fix the cause, rather than just selling you another one to wear out the same way.
How often should tyres be checked?
Tyres are the only part of the car touching the road, so pressure, tread and even wear are all safety matters, not just maintenance.
- Pressure, monthly. Tyres naturally lose a little air over about a month, and a cold snap takes more. A five-degree drop in temperature noticeably lowers pressure. Under-inflated tyres grip less in the wet, wear on the edges and cost you fuel. Pressures are on the placard inside the driver’s door.
- Tread, every time you check pressure. Run a hand over the tread. Feathering, one bald edge or a cupped surface all point to alignment or worn suspension.
- Rotation, every five to ten thousand kilometres. The front tyres on a front-wheel-drive car do the steering, most of the braking and all the driving, so they wear much faster than the rears. Rotating the set evens that out and gets the most kilometres from it. We can rotate your tyres with every service.
When to replace
Every tyre has wear-indicator bars moulded across the base of the tread grooves. Once the tread has worn level with those bars, the tyre has reached the end of its safe life and will fail a Warrant of Fitness. Replace sooner if you see sidewall cracking, bulges, exposed cords or damage from a kerb.
Not sure? Ask us to look at them. We check tread depth across the full width of each tyre, inspect the sidewalls, and give you an honest answer. If they have a season left in them, we will say so. If they are due, we will quote replacement options to suit your car and your budget and fit them while you wait.
A note on hybrids and EVs
Hybrids and electric cars are heavier than their petrol equivalents and put torque down instantly, so they are hard on tyres. They are also quiet, which makes tyre roar more obvious. Tyres built for electrified vehicles have stronger construction and quieter tread, and they last better. We will recommend the right choice for your car rather than the cheapest thing in the right size.

Request a quote or book a fitting using the form below, book online, or call 022 3900 587 with your tyre size. We confirm every booking by text or email. We inspect your existing tyres before fitting anything, and nothing beyond what you have agreed to is done without your approval.
Common questions
How often should I check my tyre pressures?
At least once a month, and before any long trip. Tyres lose a little pressure naturally over about that time, and temperature makes a real difference: a drop of around five degrees can take measurable pressure out of a tyre. Under-inflated tyres wear faster, use more fuel and grip less in the wet.
How do I know when a tyre needs replacing?
Every tyre has wear-indicator bars moulded into the tread grooves. When the tread is level with those bars the tyre is done. Also look for cracking in the sidewall, bulges, or wear on one edge, which points to an alignment or suspension problem rather than just age.
What is tyre rotation and how often should I do it?
Moving the tyres between positions so they wear evenly. On a front-wheel-drive car the fronts do the steering, most of the braking and all of the driving, so they wear much faster. Rotating every five to ten thousand kilometres gets the most life out of the set. We can do it with your service.
Do hybrids and EVs need special tyres?
They benefit from them. Hybrids and EVs are heavier and deliver torque instantly, which wears tyres faster, and because they are quiet, road noise is more noticeable. Tyres designed for them have reinforced construction and quieter tread patterns. We will recommend the right option for your car and the way you drive.
Can you give me a quote before I book?
Yes. Tell us the car and the tyre size (it is on the sidewall) using the form below or by phone, and we will quote the options. We will also tell you if the tyre you have does not actually need replacing yet.
